  • The American Nurses Association (ANA) has launched a comprehensive website, COVID-19 Resource Center, focused on clinical information, legislative and regulatory advocacy and information for consumers. It includes licensure and credentialing guidelines, mental health and well-being resources and enduring webinars for nurses: Click here
  • NPR released a four-minute podcast, "Pandemic Affects Mental Health Of Frontline Health Workers," discusses stresses and moral injury experienced by nurses, physicians and other health care team members: Click here
  • The US Department of Health and Human Services has created a Public Health Emergency System for Advanced Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals for registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, behavioral health specialists and other members of the health care team: Click here
  • Clinic visits, home care and other face-to-face interactions with patients and clients must continue in some cases. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released Interim CDC Guidance on Handling Non-COVID-19 Public Health Activities that Require Face-to-Face Interaction with Clients in the Clinic and Field in the Current COVID-19 PandemicClick here

  • global collaboration to address COVID-19 was launched today by World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation: Click here
  • "Solidarity" is an international clinical trial to help find an effective treatment for COVID-19, launched by the WHO and partners. The Solidarity Trial will compare four treatment options against standards of care to assess their relative effectiveness against COVID-19. As of April 21, more than 100 countries are working together to find effective treatments as soon as possible, via the trial.   • Emergency Nurses Association is calling for the creation, within the federal government, of a supply chain czar. This high-level official would be charged with overseeing and directing the production, sourcing and distribution of all medical supplies related to COVID-19: Click here
  • ANAC joined many other nursing and health organizations to recommend $4.5 billion in additional annual funding for CDC, state, local, tribal and territorial core public health infrastructure to pay for essential activities, including disease surveillance, epidemiology, laboratory capacity and other all-hazards preparedness and response: Click here
